Okay, so I have thought a lot about what I would consider my top 10 songs that I would listen to so here they are:
10. Problem - Natalia Kills
9. Should Have Known Better - Hinder
8. Lithium - Evanescence
7. Clarity - Zedd
6. Six Degrees of Separation - The Script
5. Forever And Always - Parachute
4. Wonderland - Natalia Kills
3. You (Ha Ha Ha) - Charli XCX
2. No Champagne - Frankmusik
1. Crazy Crazy - Guinevere
Crazy Crazy has to be my all time favorite, I have only had the song for about a year since it has came out... I have listened to it 926 times.... That is a lot for one song...

BOOOOOOOMERANG!
Boomerang by The Summer Set.
This song is really nice and well done, it has a great sound to it especially for a summer song. It's very lighthearted and gets the point across. The music video is very interesting as well, for it being a lyric video.
This band has had a few good songs but this is probably by far my favorite and I am curious to see more by them.
Below is the link to the music video andddd the lyrics since it is all in one! :) Enjoy.

Some extra thoughts.
Before the end of this class, I am going to go through all of my music and try and pick what I would consider my top 10 favorite songs that I have come across so far. I'll post it as soon as I can decide on 10 from the 4,000 on my iPod. :)
Six Degrees Of Separation - The Script
This has to be probably one of the most emotional songs I've heard in a while. I find it very intense and I can't help but listen to it over and over. And very rarely can a singer use the "f" word and actually have it sound classy. I love all the words to the song and it has a good beat to it.
Below is the music video and the lyrics.

Forever and Always
Forever and Always by Parachute
Saddest song ever. Yet it is so perfect at the same time. This is one of the only few songs I can listen to over and over again and never get bored of it. The love and the death and all the emotions in this song I swear can make you cry.
Here are the links to the lyrics, as well as a the song on youtube.

TRAIIIIIIN
After that nice snow break, I am back with one of my favorite songs to post! This song is by the band train, they have been a band for 20 years now, and yet their music is always somehow current. This is one of my favorite songs by them.

This is such a catchy song. I also think it's pretty cool that in the music video they have David Hasselhoff and Taryn Manning in it.

And now for a humorous song...
This song makes me giggle every time I hear it. Below is the song Taylor the Latte Boy performed by Kristin Chenoweth.

and the lyrics here:

My favorite part of this song is the story behind it. The original writer of this song, Marcy Heisler, wrote this song to prove that you could write a song about anything. She chose Taylor, a barista at Starbuck's, who she had been misinterpreting signs that he loved her. This led to her being obsessed with him, and he eventually put a restraining order on her. How romantic :)

The Story of Lolita
Awesome right?? So a brief summary of Lolita. This trick right here is a minor and basically falls for her step dad. Gross, right? And he becomes obsessed with her, and after her mother's death, they go on a road trip all over. She gets sick and he drops her off at a hospital where another man picks her up. This crazy girl ends up going through a few guys (refer to spark notes for details) and gets pregnant and asks her step dad for money. She dies during birth. Crazy, dark story but yet super intriguing.
So, The Veronicas, with their song Lolita, is a similarity on how their managers used to treat them from their first label. Trying to get with them and trying to make bribes for record deals (hence their hiatus for a few years). Interesting stuff, however, I felt the music video had nothing to do with either of these meanings.

Lolita - The Veronicas (Links)
Below is a link to view the lyrics, as well as to the music video. The music video is interesting and entertaining, but it was different then how I would imagine it. My post about the lyrics and music video will be posted up tomorrow.

Creative Writing Blog
Hi! My name is Tanner. This is my blog for my Creative Writing class.
So the first post I am going to make on my blog is to give a summary of what my blog will be about. I will be posting songs, along with their music videos (if there is one) and lyrics, and giving a summary of what the song is about, how it was interpreted, and the artists' personal meaning for that song.
I already have a few songs I've been thinking of, so I am kind of excited to get this blog going. By the end of this week, I will have another post with a song. I know the anticipation is killer so I will give a spoiler. The group I'll be posting a song of is The Veronicas.
